Moving To Solar Power

Nov 30

Solar is one of the least used sources of energy in the world today however with an advance in technology over the past decade and a growing emphasis on the need to change the ways in which we generate our energy then it is surprising that it is a form of alternative energy that has been neglected or, at least, not as widely used and utilized as it should be.

To suggest that there is a Vivint rip off is well wide of the mark and solar energy – or the energy generated by solar power – has many benefits to the average homeowner and can transform the way in which you view this form of alternative energy. For a start it is a highly clean and safe energy source that can seriously reduce the amount of carbon emissions that your emit into the atmosphere and this is especially important in this day and age. Indeed, it is not only the environmental benefits that we should be thinking about here and there are large financial incentives that we can draw on to promote the case for a change to solar power.

One big incentive is the lifespan of the solar panels themselves. They last an average of around 30 or so years and they have the added benefit of being able to be moved around; so if you move home in that period and the panels are still in working order then you can easily take them with you. Also, some companies such as Vivint offer a generous PPA scheme. This effectively means that you do not have to actually pay for the making or the installation of the panels and that you can forgo this cost if you pay for the energy you use that comes from these panels; saving you a lot of money in the process.
